Financial Aid Opportunities

Any Longhorns here?  Yesterday, the UT System announced a big move -

University of Texas (UT) System: As of November 2024, the UT System expanded its Promise Plus Program to provide FREE TUITION and FEES for undergraduates whose families earn $100,000 or less across all nine UT campuses.

There are a few other schools who offer something similar and MIT made an even bigger move -

Starting in the 2025–2026 academic year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will implement significant financial aid enhancements:
Tuition-Free Education for Families Earning Under $200,000: Students from families with annual incomes below $200,000 (and typical assets) will receive scholarships covering the full cost of tuition.

Comprehensive Financial Support for Families Earning Under $100,000: For students from families earning less than $100,000 annually (with typical assets), MIT will cover not only tuition but also housing, dining, fees, and provide an allowance for books and personal expenses.
